The Kohala Coast
The Kohala coast has been called the "Gold Coast" of the Big Island of Hawaii. It has warm sunny weather almost every day of the year. The ocean is the warmest temperature in Hawaii year round and sea life abounds. You can spend your days hiking the coast, taking numerous boat tours (including snorkel, dive, whale watching, sunset cruises or dolphin adventures) or you can lay on the beach and read under a big coconut tree. There are numerous restaurants and shopping all along the Kohala Coast and it boasts some of the best beaches on the island.
Unique to the Big Island you can lay on a warm white sand beach and gaze at the beautiful snow atop Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Two hours to the south you can visit the world famous Volcano's National Park and see a live active volcano. There is so much to do on the Big Island you will want to move here, (or at least buy a second home) so you have time to do it all.
